SKODA's flagship model, the Superb, has been voted the number-one estate car in the Fleet World Honours for the third year running. Not to be outdone, the multi award-winning SKODA Yeti picked up the award for Best Crossover.
The prestigious awards are presented annually to manufacturers, service companies and individuals who have, in the opinion of the judges, achieved the highest possible level of excellence in their sector.
The judging process combines the expert opinion of the Fleet World editorial team with the values provided by a number of leasing companies and fleet data providers.
The panel is chaired by Steve Moody, Editor of Fleet World, and includes John Kendall, Alex Grant, Natalie Wallis, Dan Gilkes and Ross Durkin from the editorial team.
Residual value, maintenance and reliability data are provided by ALD Automotive, Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions, Lex Autolease, LeasePlan and Arval. Market value data is provided by EurotaxGlass and VIPDATA.
Commenting on the SKODA Superb’s victory, Steve Moody said: “Estate cars should fit everything you need into them, which is why the Superb is very hard to beat with its massive boot and huge cabin space. But it’s not just about pure practicality: efficient engines, low prices and competitive running costs make it an excellent choice for fleets.â€
Commenting on the SKODA Yeti’s accolade, Steve added: “While it may have been with us for several years, the versatile Yeti crossover continues to please customers. With a range of genuinely efficient versions and [the option of] four-wheel drive, all priced to SKODA ’s trademark high value, broad fleet appeal is both guaranteed and justified.â€
